Amigo Mobility Adds to Company's Leadership

Amigo Mobility International recently hired a new president.

Tim Drumhiller, of St Charles, Mich., has a diverse background with a range of experience in manufacturing, international business and family business.

His business experience began at a young age, as he and his wife Lynette distributed products for their family's consumer products based business to grocery stores throughout Michigan and Ohio while attending classes at Michigan State University. After graduating from MSU, Tim and Lynette moved to the Great Lakes Bay area in 1986 as the 10th and 11th employees of their family's business, Optico Manufacturing. Growing Optico to a national business with an expanding product line; including beauty sponges, earplugs, and eye care accessories, the business was sold in 1999 with more than 150 employees.

"We grew the business by building customer trust and by taking chances." Drumhiller said.

Optico was acquired by a large public entity--PTI Holding. As President of their Flents Division, Tim led integration and operational strategies until 2003, when the business was sold again to Minneapolis based Apothecary Products.

Drawing inspiration from his father-in-law and family business founder Len Williams, Tim helped lead the family's next business, Lendell Manufacturing (LMI), to year over year record breaking sales, before selling the specialty polyurethane foam business in late 2008. LMI was sold to London bases Filtrona PLC, and again, Tim lead the company's technology integration effort until stepping down in late 2011.

"I'm passionate about building things and driving growth through people and products," Drumhiller said, "I'm looking forward to helping the Thieme family grow their business, especially as it is a comply that improves people's lives."

Father of four, Drumhiller is preparing to run his 20th marathon at the Boston Marathon this April and in the past has been actively involved in the Stevens Center for Family Business, Medical Device Manufacturers Association and Saginaw Future.

"Tim is a great fit for Amigo," says Al Thieme, Amigo Mobility Chairman and Founder. "We're excited to utilize his experience and passion for sales and manufacturing to take Amigo to the next level."

Bridgeport/Spaulding Businesses

The Historical Society of Bridgport is now putting together it 2012 Service and Business
Directory, which comes out in April of 2012. Please check for errors in your listing in the previous directory and contact the William Schomaker Museum at 777-5230 between the hours of 1 and 5pm. Tuesday thru Saturday, or call Diane McCartney at 777-2301. This is to list your businesses for our FREE listing part of the directory.

If you had an ad last year and would like one again, please let us know and inform us of any changes or corrections.

We need to defray the cost of the directories, as we are a nonprofit 501c3 organization. We give the books out to 2500 reidents and to travelers stopping in town, at no cost to them. Our ads are very reasonable for being placed for one year at a time. They also appear on Bridgeport
Township's web site and ours, just as they are in the directory. The cost for ads are: FULL page $150.00, HALF page $100.00, QUARTER page $75.00, and an EIGHT page (business card size) $50.00. Our book's pages are 8 X 10 in size. Cot has stayed the same for the last five years.

This year, as last, anyone placing an ad in the directory will have our thanks with a one year membership in our Historical Society. Usually the value of this membership is $25.00.

We hope you will cocnsider taking out an ad to help the residents of your community to find your Busines and shop locally. You can obtain an ad by calling the above numbers or sending back the copy of your ad, or a new ad, with your check to

Bridgeport Historical Society
P.O. Box 561
Bridgeport, Mi 48722

To get this directory printed by April 1st, we must set a deadline of February 20th for all returns. Please help your Historical Society and the residents of this community to learn about your business. Thank You,

Sincerely Diane McCartney, President of the Historical Society of Bridgeport

United Financial Credit Union

January 3, 2012

United Financial Credit Union made Christmas brighter for five local families with help from their members and employees by collecting $1950.00 and gave a donation to Bridgeport Community Food Pantry. Each office set up collection jar and had lists of items that families were in need of. Bridgport Community Food Pantry and the Adopt a Families were very grateful that the Credit Union was able to help them in their time of need. United Financial feels that no one should go without during the holidays.
