A new assisted living home is anticipated to open May 1, 2013, at 5366 W. Rolling Hills Drive in Bridgeport. Bavarian Comfort Care plans to be the "only" licensed Home For the Aged by the Michigan Department of Human Services, Office of Child and Adult Licensing. In addition, Bavarian Comfort Care will be the newest Home for the Aged in the Tri-City Area. The design for the facility consists of 30 rooms on more than 22,000 square feet in its first phase with an additional 18 rooms in the second phase. Currently, the facility is equipped with a very classy exterior elevation, landscaping plan and premium interior work. Benefits of the new state of the art assisted living facility will not only be limited to its elderly residents, but also will benefit the community by adding 15 full time jobs and another 5 jobs indirectly.
